I have always been a big fan of all things vintage. I am captivated by the styles of the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s.  I especially love films from that period-what the characters wear, how their homes are decorated, and even the cars they drive. I find movies and books from this period a great source of inspiration.

It just so happens the other day I ran across a book on Audrey Hepburn (one of the most stylish women of all time) and found this wonderful photo following her marriage to Andrea Paolo Mario Dotti, an Italian psychiatrist, on January 18, 1969. Audrey was wearing a pink jersey ensemble designed by Givenchy and an engagement ring from Bulgari. What struck me most was the beautiful yet simple bouquet of freesia and wax flower she was carrying, and I thought it would be fun to recreate it in my studio. My personal twist is a melon colored grosgrain ribbon tie.
