Be My Guest - Destination Paris

December 5th, 2008 · 3 Comments

In order to bring a broad range of fresh voices to the blog, we will periodically feature a variety of guest bloggers to share thier unique perspectives on weddings, destinations, venues, and just life in general.  I am very excited to introduce out first guest blogger, Francesco Spiezia of films by FRANCESCO, a boutique cinematography company with studios in New York and Palm Beach. I am a huge fan of his work and think you will be as well…. Michelle

The only thing better than getting a call for an amazing event is getting one that is in a truly inspiring place.  For us, France tops the list.  It’s been a favorite go-to vacation spot for us in every season, so the opportunity to shoot a wedding there (and create an extended vacation of it) couldn’t be missed.

My wife Michele and I had traveled to France before, but this trip was extra special because it included our two-year-old son, Ellis. Looking at France through his eyes opened to us an entirely new point of view of the City of Lights and Provence.

Paris in particular exudes a feeling of playfulness, if you look in the right places.

Architecture allows us to explore new ways of composing when we shoot.  Each angle offers different perspective.

They were endless, and they were spectacular!  We passed this spot a number of times, and watched the sunflowers turn their faces toward the sun as the day passed.

It’s the smallest details that often catch my eye.

I think this one speaks for itself.
