The garden rose is a true harbinger of summer. They are one of the most spectacular flowers and have an amazing range of colors and shapes. I am reading a wonderful book called Ahab’s Wife by Sena Jeter Naslund and she writes…….
“These roses were the first time nature surprised me; for the first time she exceeded not only what I wanted but what I had imagined possible.”
In the photos below we surrounded peony centerpieces with single stems of roses.
Perfect.
