Did I ever tell you-once upon a time I was married AND my entire wedding-including the dress- was pale pink. I love pink. This sweet pink bouquet contains some of my favorite flowers-Me and You hydrangea, sweet pea, mint and the ever so fragrant Majolica roses. The stem is wrapped in pink grosgrain ribbon (you know how I feel about ribbon!).
While the stock market has not yielded much to celebrate over the past weeks, a bond of a different sort was celebrated in the halls of Cipriani’s on Wall Street.

The wedding ceremony was held at the historic Trinity Church.

The wedding party then walked from the church to Cipriani’s at 55 Wall Street.
This historic landmark has served as the home of the New York Merchant’s Exchange, The New York Stock Exchange, The U. S. Custom’s House, and now Cipriani Wall Street. The building occupies an entire city block and is framed by four sets of Corinthian columns. The main room has 70 foot ceilings and a Wedgewood dome.
There is nothing like making a grand entrance. We filled a silver urn with white ostrich feathers – the seating card table was a show stopper.

Gardenias on a bed of guinea fowl feathers formed the elegant boutonnieres.

The napkins were folded with double faced satin ribbon with the couple’s monogram.

Low arrangements with white Tibet roses framed by modern candle holders with floating aqua candles – frosted votive candles on a mirrored runner create a symphony of light at the dinner table.
Square and rectangular tables outlined the dance floor — graphic designs were projected to add color and drama.
The couple’s first dance as husband and wife.
I am gearing up for our annual exodus to Paris for the Maison & Objet trade show in January. It is where we buy and source anything from chandeliers to candlelight for the upcoming year. While there (aside from long cafe lunches), it is always a huge thrill to go to “The Fleas” known as LeMarche aux Puces de Paris-Saint-Ouen. Even if you don’t load up a container of goodies there are always wonderful finds such as these gorgeous beaded flowers and leaves.

The workmanship is impeccable and I adore the colors-C’est magnifique!

They would make an unbelievable addition to a place setting or hand-wired into a bouquet. Enjoy- au revoir!!

Navigating your Wedding Design.

Set along Barnegat Bay-we used the water as our inspiration.

Bonnett Island, New Jersey.

I loved the crushed shell walkway and the Praying Mantis was an eager guest at the ceremony!

We used local navigational charts as the back-drop for the seating card board. We purchased silver shackles from a boating website and hung the cards on a diagonal from rope.

Here is a close-up of the shackles and how we rigged the roping.

Navy blue jackets and khakis are always smart looking for a beach wedding. Sometimes tuxedos are just too formal.

This is a really cute concept for housing the envelopes that guests had on hand as a gift. I bought some used lobster traps as the vessel.

The happy couple.
