The bride grew up on West Point Island at the Jersey Shore and the groom lives in Bradenton Florida. They wanted to personalize their ceremony by representing a place they both cherish, the beach. The bride collected sand from the ocean in New Jersey, the groom from the beach in Bradenton.
They purchased three glass bottles. Two bottles were filled with sand-one with sand from New Jersey and one with sand from Florida.
Written into their vows was a wonderful metaphor about how like their souls, the grains of sand could never be separated.
The bottle of sand sits on their mantle to this day!
