I am a enthusiast of using nature in my designs and absolutely love incorporating almost anything that comes from the beach. Whether it be the beaches of the Northeast or the tropical beach of the Caribbean I try to add native details wherever I can. 
 

I found this website (http://www.blottshellhouses.com/index.html) while I was in Rome killing time, when I should have been sleeping, and almost fell out of my bed I was so astonished with Blott Kerr-Wilson’s work.  The unbelievable foresight she has to be able to turn millions of shells into these exquisite creations that then come together to construct a house is, well just awe- inspiring.

I love that she can transform a wall that from a distance looks like a a beautiful painting and up close transforms into intricate layers of detail and texture that she has created with objects you find on
the beach!
