Shells , shells and more things from the sea.

Once you get to know me-you will learn that there isn’t a shell I have met that I didn’t like!! My staff teases me when we are stuck on a design by saying…”just hotglue some shells to it-she’ll love it!”

This shell mobile was the perfect substitution to the ever expected flower arrangement for a destination wedding at the Rock House in the Bahamas. We encrusted the top of the lamp with larger shells and hand strung smaller shells on grosgrain ribbon. Last I checked…the shells on the tops of the lamps were still there.

This is something I designed for my cousin Rebecca’s wedding. This photo is a close-up of a sail made out of cotton with small pockets sewn into it. We had a floor-standing boat made and guests plucked their card out of the sail. The guest’s name and table number were hand-tied to each starfish and sand dollar. (I’ll look for the pulled back shot that shows the whole boat).

Here is a closeup of the sea urchins and shells on the ribbon. The shells tinkled sweetly in the Bahamian breezes.

Here is a close-up of the sea urchins. I love them because they are like berries or buttons.

Here is another example I found today of the shells against the sweet little pink church on Harbour Island-so cute.
